When the Timeline chart type is selected, the configuration options displayed on the Chart tab are specific to the Timeline chart and are described in detail below.
Links: Choose between Links or No Links. Choosing links allows any projects that have been linked using the Project Links feature, enabled in Product Portfolio Management, to be displayed on the Timeline chart.
Identifier: Select a field which uniquely identifies the item to be displayed on the chart
Label: Select a field to be used as a label for the bar on the chart
Start Date: Select a date field to determine the start of the bar
End Date: Select a date field to determine the end of the bar
Summary Item Indicator: Select a Boolean field which indicates if the item is a summary item. Summary items will be displayed differently to standard items on the chart.

Colour: Select a keyword field to display the Timeline bars in the colour associated with the keyword. This will override the default colour.
Default Colour: Set a colour to display the bars on the chart, if a Colour field is selected it will override this default.
Columns: Choose additional fields to display in tabular form at the left of the chart. In this example Project Name is the Label, Start Date and End Date are additional columns.
DISPLAY
Bar Height: Choose how wide the bars on the chart are displayed, options are Default, Narrow or Wide.
Initial Display Point: Select either a specific date or a function to automatically scroll the chart to this position when it is initially displayed.
